There has been some outcry in the community regarding the disappointing rewards from the new dungeons introduced in Final Fantasy XIV. While many have regarded the dungeons themselves to be fun and rewarding, the claimable rewards have been found lacking. Many players were disappointed that the rewards lacked a cool factor and that repeating the dungeons themselves are only viable as a gil farm.
There have been calls in the community for more rewards. The suggestions range from gear rewards for completing the savage dungeons, to cooler showcase items such as mounts, glams and titles. Since the dungeons are new it is possible that more rewards will be added over time.
While there are many who found the rewards lacking, many have reported that they have found doing the dungeons themselves to be fun and have found overall that the new Variant/Criterion dungeons have been a success.
