Endwalker Game Issues and Compensation for Congestion

Naoki Yoshida wrote on a Lodestone article here regarding the server congestions experienced by players. There is also a second article here regarding other issues in the game.

In summary, he apologized for the long queue times experienced by players. As compensation for the issues, he has announced that there will be 7 days of free game time to all players who own teh full version of the game and have an active subscription. This includes players who are on the 30-day free play period included when registering the full versio nof the game and those with multiple accounts.

Error 2002

He has also gone on to detail regarding the Error 2002 experienced by many players. There are two things that cause this, the first and most common is that there are over 17,000 people in queue to login. The other is packet loss or a period of network instability. He suggests players who are on a Wi-Fi internet connection to try using a hard-wired connection. In the article, he mentions that this will be fixed when the underlying congestion issue is fixed.

For console players (PS4 and PS5) he has suggested to check settings related to power savings. There may be some settings that will cause internet disconnections such as standby mode and rest mode.

Error 4004, 5003 and 5006

These errors occur when the connection to the login management server times out. They are currently working on a process to extend the session time.

There have been reports that in most cases, if you are able to reconnect fast enough, it is possible to keep your place in the queue.

Peak Hour Congestion Times

The article also suggested not playing during peak hours. A list of the observed peak hours are as follows:

North American Data Center: 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (PST) / 20:00 to 6:00 (GMT)
European Data Center: 3:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (PST) / 11:00 to 23:00 (GMT)
Japan Data Center: 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. (PST) / 9:00 to 15:00 (GMT)

Automatic Logout during ending credits

It looks like there was a bug as players viewing the credits should not be logged out. They are working on fixing this, in the mean time, please press a button on the controller or move the mouse cursor to avoid being logged out during the credits.

Issues with Dying Paladin Gear

The follow gears have issues with being dyed:

・Idealized Chevalier’s Cuirass
・Idealized Chevalier’s Gauntlets
・Idealized Chevalier’s Poleyns
・Idealized Chevalier’s Sollerets

When they are dyed, the dye itself is applied but the color is not reflected on the items. This will be fixed in patch 6.01. There have been cases where this does not occur in certain races or genders.

Movement issues with NPCs accompanying the player in certain quests

There have been reports of NPCS standing on water an dfloating on air. This is a client issue and they are working on resolving this. Suggested fixes in the meantime are:

  •  Adjust the position of your character until the NPC loads properly.
  • Stop the NPC from accompanying you by using the Aethernet or some other means of teleportation, and then have that NPC accompany you again.
